
Herbert Voth
Of Arlington Heights
Herbert Voth was born June 4, 1925 in Chicago to August C. and Lillian (nee Wischmeyer) Voth. He died September 28, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Herb was a Merchant Marine during WWII and in the Army during the Korean War. He was a linesman for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 43 years. He was a long-time member of the American Legion Post 335 and the Elks Club. Herb was an avid bowler and life-long fisherman.
Herb is survived by his children Diane (Ronnie) Reber, Robert (Leslie) Voth and Lori (Dean) Berge; his grandchildren Stacie, Veronica, Paul, Abby, Daniel, Dawn, Rachel, J.D. (Gretchen) and Meghan; his great grandchildren T.J., Emerson, Kiera, Aubree, Oliver and Eliza and by his long-time companion Ruth Koy.
Herbert is preceded in death by his wife Doris (nee Meyer); his sister Eleanore (late Albert) Lenz and by his parents.
Visitation Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 4 PM until 8 PM and Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Entombment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
