Obituary for Vincent E. Villinski

Vincent E. Villinski, 74, was born in Chicago to Vincent and Cecelia (nee Klingenbeck) Villinski. He died Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Silverado Lake Zurich due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

A longtime resident of Arlington Heights, Vincent was a CPA and Audit Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 35 years. In 2000, he became Chief Financial Officer of Spectrum Global Administration Fund. Vincent served as Chairman of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and received its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. He also was President of the ICPAS Endowment Board. Vincent received a BA in Business Administration from Loyola University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. As a volunteer, he served Saint Viator High School (Board of Trustees and Finance Committee), Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Governing Board), Ravinia Festival (Annual Fund), and Arlington Heights Historical Society (Treasurer). 

In his spare time, Vincent enjoyed classical music, cheering for the White Sox, a good Sci-Fi/espionage book or film, nature, and the Southwest. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. 

Vincent is survived by his wife of 44 years, Catherine (nee Monco); children, Joe (Allison) Villinski and Stephanie Villinski; grandchildren, Evan and Nora Villinski; nephews, Nick and John Monco; cousins, Karen (Ronald) Lipinski, John (Liz) Sampson, Mart Sampson, Ted (Sandi) Villinski and Agnesanne Martin; and brother-in-law, Dean (Cristina) Monco. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; cousins, Paul Villinski and Gene Villinski; brother-in-law, Walter Monco. 

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, September 29, 2017, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights (AH), IL 60004. Prayers at the funeral home, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 9:15 am proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 North Arlington Heights Road, AH, IL 60004 for 10 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL.
