Obituary for Stephen Michael Eyman

Stephen M.  Eyman was born on March 27, 1952 in Evergreen Park to John and Jean (nee Bumbaugh) Eyman. He died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Chicago. 

Stephen worked as a Department of Defense Officer for United States Government. Prior to his career with the Department of Defense, Stephen served in both the Air Force (Vietnam era), serving four tours, and afterward with the Army. During his career, Stephen served as an expert armorer in numerous assignments in various government departments. Stephen loved to participate in the shooting sports and competed throughout the country representing the Air Force at events. His deep love and respect for his country was only shadowed by his love of his children.  He was a proud father and will be dearly missed. 

Stephen is survived by his children, Alessandra Eyman, Stacy Eyman, John Paul Haddix and Christopher Haddix; grandson, Ethan Haddix, many nieces and nephews; and former wife, Debbie Sersen. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Visitation Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL  60004. Funeral Service 10:30 am Monday, March 12, 2018 at the funeral home.  Interment 2:00 Monday, March 12, 2018 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
