Mary Fenton LongOf Arlington HeightsMary Fenton Long was born on June 18, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Harry and Harriet (nee Butler) Fenton. She died Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Arlington Heights.Mary was a grade school teacher for Our Lady of the Wayside for 20 years before retiring in 1985. She was a 60-year member of Our Lady of the Wayside Church. She enjoyed swimming, writing and poetry, playing piano, avid puzzle enthusiast and cheered for the Chicago Cubs.Mary is survived by her children, Marietta (John) Kenny, Arthur J. Long, Jr., Thomas Long, Margaret (Michael) Miller, Maureen (Mike) Roberts, Marian Long, Peter (Tabitha) Long, and Madeline Long; grandchildren, Thomas (Dody) Kenny, Robert (Jamie) Kenny, Patrick (Rebecca) Kenny, Megan (Peter) Coyle, David Miller, Sean Miller, Nicole Miller, Lauren (Matthew) Casella, Lindsey (Phil) Brassington, and Michelle Roberts; great-grandchildren, Collin, Molly, Meredith, John, and Marlee Kenny, Elliott and Benjamin Coyle, and Connor, Maren, Gavin, and Emily Casella; and siblings, Edmund Fenton, and Anne (Bob) Seyer.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Long; her parents; and her granddaughter, Kerry Roberts.Visitation from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 8:45 am, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from the funeral Home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, Illinois for Mass at 9:30 am.
