Gail B. Grashorn
Of Arlington Heights

Gail Grashorn was born June 28, 1923 in Chicago to Louis and Rose Dietz Brookman. She died June 15, 2017 at The Moorings in Arlington Heights.

Gail graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, retired as Librarian with Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill. She was active with the First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights women’s circle, Questers, Arlington Heights Historical Society, Art Institute, and Arlington Squares. Gail enjoyed activities at The Moorings, world travel and was an avid reader.

Gail is survived by her children Susan (Arthur Atkinson) Gail of Fairfield, IA, Ann (Michael) Yorke of Crystal Lake, David (Renea) Grashorn of Belvidere and James (Maureen) Grashorn of West Dundee, her grandchildren, Lucas, Nathan (Jackie), Shannon (Tyler) Michelsen, Samantha, Bill, Claire, Maddison, Tanner, Jillian and Connley and by her great grandchildren Carson and Maxwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband William G. Grashorn, brother Robert (late Winifred) Brookman and by her parents.

Memorial Visitation Saturday 7/29/17 from 9:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
