Fred J. Zaletanski
Of Arlington Heights 

Fred J. Zaletanski was born on June 7, 1928 in Chicago to George and Stella (nee Bandur) Zaletanski.  He died February 6, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.   

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was a dedicated family man to his wife, children and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his children, Fred Jr. (Ani) of Lockport, Michael of Palatine, David (Bev) of Arlington Heights, Kathleen (John) Basso of Portland, OR and Patti (Rob) DeBeau of Elmhurst and his grandchildren, Adam, Jason and David Zaletanski, Francis Basso and Ryan and Genevieve DeBeau; his brother Steve (late Bessie) Zaletanski. 

Fred was preceded in death by his wife Katherine “Pat” (nee Patton) Zaletanski; his sister Lorraine (late Hugo) Innocenti and by his parents. 

Visitation Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of prayers at 11:15 AM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for mass at 12:00 PM.  Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
