Of Arlington Heights

Bernadette F. Lekan passed away August 25, 2018 at The Village of Victory Lakes. She was born February 10, 1928 in Cleveland, OH to Louis V. and Anna (nee Yancher) Supan.

She was a loving mother to her six children, a talented seamstress and an excellent cook. She volunteered her time and skills at St. James Church for over 40 years.

Bernadette is survived by her children Deborah Klein, Chris (Janice), Gary, Betsey Leach and Jennifer (Dan) Cusick; grandchildren Danielle, Megan Hancock (Jason), Catherine, Kyra, Madelyn and Hayden; great grandchildren Haley and Chloe; siblings Marianne (late Stanley) Teorsky, Mercedes (late Jack) Gribshaw, Gus (Phyllis) Supan, Barbara Crawford, Annette (Ron) Zucca and Charlotte Supan; her sister in law Sr. Miriam Joseph Lekan and by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Deacon Louis Lekan; her son Jeff Lekan; her siblings Rosemarie, Theresa, Louis and Paul (Donna) Supan and by her parents.

Visitation Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4 PM until 8 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 135 S. Milwaukee Ave., Lake Villa, IL at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
