She died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Lutheran Home Services in Arlington Heights, Illinois with her family by her side.Barbara was a homemaker and a long-time resident of Arlington Heights. She volunteered for over 25 years at the reception desk at Northwest Community Hospital and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights since 1960. Barbara attended Monmouth College where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was an active golfer, tennis player and bowler.Barbara is survived by her children Karen (Don) Poindexter, William D. (Denise) Weber, Nancy (Mark) Maska, and Sherry (Stephanie Novy) Weber; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Katie, Courtney, Bryan, Ryan and Melissa; and her great grandchildren, Bailey, Bryce, Brinley and Landon; and her brother, Thomas (Donna) CooperShe was preceded in death by 16 hours by her husband, Bill; her parents; and her siblings John Cooper, and Dorothy Hull.Memorial Service 11:00 am, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Lutheran Home Services, 800 W. Weber was born on July 27, 1923 in Arlington Heights, Illinois to William and Martha (nee Vahrenwald) Weber. He died Monday, April 10, 2017 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.Bill was a 1949 graduate of Knox College where he is a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He served in the US Navy in the submarine service aboard the USS Lapon during WW II. He has volunteered at Northwest Community Hospital in the escort service since 2004. Bill was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights since 1960. He was the retired Senior V.P. of Distribution Service Inc., where he worked for 40 years.Bill was survived by his wife Barbara; he is survived by his children Karen (Don) Poindexter, William D. (Denise) Weber, Nancy (Mark) Maska, and Sherry (Stephanie Novy) Weber; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Katie, Courtney, Bryan, Ryan and Melissa; and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Bryce, Brinley and Landon.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Virginia Fenner-GebhardMemorial Service 11:00 am, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Lutheran Home Services, 800 W.
